Responsibilities:

• Spearhead the architecture design and technology selection for our frontend, backend, middleware, and framework components
• Work closely with product owners to understand requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions
• Make critical technical decisions, including the choice of development languages, databases, data streaming technologies, container technologies, and authentication frameworks
• Provide technical leadership and hands-on guidance to the engineering team, mentoring and upskilling junior/mid-level developers
• Conduct thorough troubleshooting and offer technical suggestions to resolve complex issues within the products
• Champion best practices in software design, development, and operations, ensuring adherence to security and performance standards
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, and drive innovation within the team

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in web development, with at least 2 years of experience leading a team
• Proficient in development languages such as ReactJS, TypeScript, Python, Django, and Node.js
• Experienced in working with AWS cloud infrastructure (knowledge of Azure or GCP is a plus)
• Hands-on experience with data streaming technologies/services like Kafka and AWS IoT
• Expertise in working with databases, including PostgreSQL, SQL, NoSQL, DuckDB, and ImmuDB
• Proficient in container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Experienced in designing and developing APIs using GraphQL, REST, and gRPC
• Knowledgeable about common authentication frameworks like Auth0 and OAuth2
• Familiar with logging frameworks such as ELK and EFK
• Exposure to data management concepts like DataHub and Data Registry is a plus
