We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our development team in Malaysia. You will be working on deploying product updates, identifying production issues and implementing integrations that meet customer and business needs. While our team is based in Malaysia, we offer the flexibility for you to work remotely, ensuring you can collaborate effectively no matter where you are. If you have a solid background in Software Engineering or DevOps and are familiar with Linux-based Systems and Rancher or other containerized technology, we’d like to meet you! 

Responsibilities

• Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure.
• Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers.
• Optimising current workflow, environments, processes and systems within the organisation and for our existing customers.
• Identify potential problems, security loopholes, etc. in the existing systems.
• Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.
• Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
• Identifying technical problems and developing software updates.
• Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions. 

Requirements

• Able to communicate well in English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or related field.
• More than 5 years of experience developing engineering applications.
• More than 3 years of experience working with Linux-based systems.
• Familiarity with Windows-based servers and IIS.
• Experience working with Relational and Non-relational Database Management Systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, MySQL, IBM DB2, Redis, MongoDB and/or Cassandra.
• Experience working with Cloud-based systems such as AWS, Azure, etc.
• Experience working with containerised technology such as Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, etc.
• Demonstrate project development and leadership skills.
• Know what are the current industry standards and best practices regarding system security measures and know how to implement them.
• Experience working together with teams from several departments to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project plan.
