• Lead the technical direction and architect scalable, long-term solutions for core features (livestream, real-time interaction) using Clean Architecture and Modularization.
• Drive product stability and performance (crash, ANR, lag) by proactively monitoring and analyzing production metrics via Crashlytics and Android Profiler.
• Establish sustainable development workflows and quality standards, including code reviews, release processes, and incident handling
• Collaborate closely with PM/BA/QA/iOS/Web/Backend teams to align requirements and technical solutions.
• Lead sprint execution by breaking down requirements, estimating tasks, and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.
• Communicate progress, risks, and mitigation plans clearly to Japanese stakeholders in a disciplined project environment.

Job requirement

Must have:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in software engineering, computer science, or a relevant field.
• Minimum 7+ years of professional Android development experience, preferably with large-scale or real-time/high-traffic products.
• Expertise in Kotlin and Android Jetpack, with a proven track record of implementing Clean Architecture, MVVM, and Dependency Injection (Hilt/Dagger) in complex projects
• Advanced skills in performance tuning (Memory leaks, ANR, Jank) and managing the full CI/CD lifecycle, including build flavors and Play Console operations.
• Prior experience in technical leadership or team leading for 4+ engineers.
• Strong ownership mindset with ability to identify root causes and deliver long-term improvements.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to thrive in a disciplined, transparent, and high-quality Japanese-style environment.

Nice to have:

• Experience in livestream, audio/video streaming, real-time communication, or media processing domains.
• Experience with large-scale modularization, multi-module architecture, or dynamic feature delivery.
• Strong background in advanced quality practices: static analysis, lint/ktlint/detekt, unit testing, UI testing, test coverage improvement.
• Japanese language skills are a plus; strong English reading comprehension is beneficial.
