Principal Backend Engineer

• Develop toB applications that handle large-scale data processing from the ground up.
• Participate in end-to-end development, including coding, testing, deployment, and CI/CD implementation.
• Design and implement complex architectures, including API integrations with external systems.
• Monitor system performance, quickly identifying and fixing any failures or abnormalities.
• Introduce tools, systems, and cultural best practices to enhance development efficiency.
• Support and mentor team members, helping them develop fundamental backend skills.

REQUIREMENTS

Must-Have:

• 8+ years of experience in backend development, with 4+ years of hands-on Python (or Golang as an alternative).
• Strong foundation in:
• Frontend development (e.g., TypeScript, React).
• Cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, Terraform, serverless architectures).
• AI system integration (e.g., LLM APIs, embeddings, vector databases).
• Proficient in:
• Type hinting and static analysis using mypy.
• Unit testing frameworks like pytest.
• Code quality tools (e.g., black, flake8, isort, bandit).
• Docker and containerized development workflows.
• Deploying and maintaining applications in production environments.
• Performance tuning and optimization for applications.
• Agile development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with:
• Django (web framework).
• Celery (asynchronous task processing with Amazon SQS or other brokers).
• Graphene (GraphQL library with a code-first approach).
• Hands-on knowledge of:
• Container orchestration tools like Kubernetes or Kustomize.
• Frontend architecture design or collaboration with frontend engineers.
• Integrating LLMs in production (e.g., prompt management, RAG pipelines, evaluation tools).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD automation.
• B2B application development.

Communication & Leadership

• Prior team leadership experience (mandatory for Leader position).
• Experience in mentoring or training team members.
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and responsibility.
