A leader in online entertainment specialising in e-sports, we are expanding our team in Southeast Asia. We seek a Head of Development who is adept in technology strategic planning, implementation, and data analysis, to help us grow our market share fivefold in the next three years.

Role Summary

As Head of Development, you'll lead our Development department and tech sub-leads in marketing. Your expertise will be pivotal in building high-scalability systems, integrating cutting-edge technologies, and driving data-informed strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategize and implement Development solutions aligning with our ambitious growth plans.
• Lead development using Python, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, MySQL, Vue.js, and Flask Web Framework.
• Leverage tools like Redis, Memcached, Node.js, and WordPress to optimise performance.
• Utilise AI, Big Data, DevOps, and system configuration to enhance our tech capabilities.
• Supervise system and network configurations, including Nginx and Linux.
• Encourage innovative solutions, potentially involving scraping and hacking techniques, within ethical boundaries.

Qualifications:

• Over 5 years of experience in similar roles within web technology companies.
• Ability to lead and mentor teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Required Technical Skills:

• Python (4/5), Elasticsearch (4/5), MongoDB (4/5), MySQL (4/5), Vue.js (4/5), Flask Web Framework (4/5).
• Moderate skills in AI, Big Data, DevOps, Linux, Nginx, Selenium, system configuration (3/5).
• Foundational knowledge in Redis, Memcached, Node.js, WordPress, Bootstrap, Bootstrap Vue (2/5).
• Proven experience in building scalable systems, understanding of Development and Ads Tech tools.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology.

Soft Skills: Strong leadership, excellent communication, and effective problem-solving abilities.

• Flexible about working days in a month (can have 6-7 days off in a month as long as enough 23-24 working days/month)
