We’re looking for a Vendor Quality Specialist who will continuously work to ensure Article delivers high-quality products to our customers. As an expert in furniture knowledge, you will conduct quality audits of vendors, develop quality standards, train stakeholders on quality requirements, work on corrective actions, and provide support for escalated issues within a specific product category (outdoor, upholstery, etc).  

What you’ll be doing

- Work with the Vendor Quality Lead within your dedicated product category to maintain and update quality standards, and to develop testing protocols for new product types 

- Conduct factory quality audits to evaluate quality management systems and production capabilities of vendors 

- Develop training materials for in-person, and online training, and update documentation when standards or requirements change 

- Train vendors and internal stakeholders on quality requirements and framework

- Provide technical support to sourcing and product development teams when structural issues or quality issues are identified on samples or on launched products 

- Visit vendors as required to review samples, assess production capabilities and quality systems 

- Based on product issues or vendor trends, work on projects with relevant stakeholders to stop customer inquiries from occurring in the first place

- Conduct analysis on quality issues and testing failures to identify and implement preventative measures including but not limited to assessing testing standards and minimum standard requirements 

- Monitor and evaluate quality processes in the field, and identify opportunities for improvement 

- Collaborate on cross-functional projects with internal stakeholders including Operations, SER, Product and Sourcing.

- Excellent written and verbal English skills 

- Minimum 5 years experience in the furniture industry.

- Willing to work and live in Vietnam and travel to adjacent countries as required

- Excellent problem solving and cross-functional collaboration skills 

- Experience with training 

- Able to transfer knowledge and train others on technical skills

- Experience auditing and qualifying vendors
