Job Description
- Lead the design and implementation of large-scale data pipelines to collect, store, and process massive amounts of data.
- Oversee the maintenance and optimization of data storage systems, such as databases and data warehouses.
- Mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams, partners, and customers to identify and resolve data-related issues.
- Develop and automate large scale, high-performance data processing systems (batch and/or streaming) to drive business growth and improve the product experience.
- Design, build and maintain optimized data pipelines and ETL/ELT solutions as business support tools in providing analysis and real-time analytics platform for critical decision making.
- Develop data stores, including warehouses, data lakes, data marts, etc., to support the BI and operational research initiatives.
- Monitoring the data quality of data pipelines in the data platform.
- Develop and maintain best practices and standards for data management and engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience working in a Data Engineer role, handling large volumes of data through ETL processes.
- Good at English skills.
- Experience with optimizing ETL tasks, designing dimensional data models, and developing effective ETL processes to support business needs. Proficient in ETL development, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Experience with workflow management tools, such as Airflow, to automate and manage ETL pipelines.
- Proficiency in programming languages, such as Python, Scala or Java.
- Advanced SQL knowledge and experience working with various types of databases such as relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL), data warehouses (PostgreSQL), and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Neo4j).
- Experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and Hive.
- Experience with designing and implementing OLAP solutions using ElasticSearch is a plus.
- Experience with BI/reporting tools such as Zeppelin, PowerBI, or Tableau is preferred.
- Worked with Docker, Kubernetes is a plus.
- Proven ability to mentor junior engineers.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and ability to make data-driven decisions.
