Project Manager (Remote | upto 3k8 net)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic technologist to join our IT management team. We help social services organizations leverage technology to drive social impact by providing IT management services. This position is responsible for leading digital
cross-functional IT projects, overseeing IT resources, and managing all other technology initiatives that align with our mission and strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT, project management, and a passion for leveraging technology to drive positive change.
You will work with various stakeholders, such as social service personnel/users, IT service provider personnel, and internal consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization's IT systems, including hardware, software, networks, and security.
- Ensure IT infrastructure's availability, performance, and reliability to support the organization's needs.
- Manage and maintain cloud services, databases, and other digital assets.
- Implement and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure data security and compliance.
- Provide technical support and training to staff, ensuring they are proficient in using IT tools and systems.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring cost-effective and efficient delivery of IT services.
Project Management:
- Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of IT and non-IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Facilitate regular project meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and addressing any issues or roadblocks. Where an IT service provider is engaged for IT maintenance or software projects, ensure that the vendor delivers the work according to the requirements.
- Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Ensure all projects align with the organization's mission and contribute to its strategic goals.
- Track and report on project performance, offering recommendations for improvement and lessons learned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management or project management
- Strong knowledge of technology. Knowledge about CyberSecurity, and cloud technologies is a plus.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional projects from initiation to completion.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to the mission and values of the organization.
