• Build and drive end-to-end project plans, ensuring execution stays aligned with agreed timelines and key milestones.
• Define and control project scope, maintain scope baselines, and manage any changes through formal processes to prevent uncontrolled expansion.
• Track project performance against the plan, identify gaps, and proactively adjust timelines with appropriate corrective actions.
• Proactively detect potential risks and issues, evaluate their impact, and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and coordinate with clients for smooth acceptance in line with commitments.
• Engage and manage stakeholders effectively, fostering collaboration and maintaining clear, transparent communication channels.
• Assess resource requirements, plan allocations, and optimize team utilization across different project stages.
• Maintain structured communication with clients via reports, emails, and meetings; lead discussions, address inquiries, and present risks, issues, and change requests in a clear and persuasive manner.

REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge & Experience:

• At least 5 years of experience in software development or IT outsourcing environments.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Project Manager working with Japanese clients, with project size from 8MM+, or as a BrSE Lead with full project ownership.
• Proven experience delivering at least 2 projects through the full lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution and final acceptance/closure.
• Strong capability in project planning, including setting baselines for scope, timeline, and budget, as well as tracking performance through variance analysis.
• Practical experience in managing and controlling change requests through formal processes.
• Strong ability to identify potential risks and issues, assess their impact, and implement effective mitigation measures.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Project Manager role working with Japanese clients, handling projects of 8MM+ scale.

Preferred Qualifications

• Japanese language proficiency equivalent to N2 or higher, with the ability to communicate directly and independently with clients.
• Possession of project management certifications such as PMP, PSM, or CSM.

• Annual leave starts from 10 days in the first year and increases over time in line with Japanese labor regulations.
• Public holidays follow the company’s official holiday calendar.
• Weekly days off include Saturdays and Sundays.
• Standard working hours are 8 hours per day, aligned with the schedule of the client company for onsite assignments.
• Bonus scheme is negotiable (including a potential 13th-month salary), typically paid around the New Year period.
