We are seeking a skilled and strategic Product Owner/Project Manager with a strong background in marketing technology (Martech) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will own and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our Martech product, ensuring alignment with market needs, business objectives, and stakeholder requirements. You will collaborate cross-functionally with development, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to build a product that empowers marketers and creates measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Vision & Strategy: Define, communicate, and implement the product vision and roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on customer and market needs.
- Requirement Gathering: Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs, gather requirements, and translate these into actionable user stories and product specs.
- Backlog Management: Own and prioritize the product backlog to ensure high-quality delivery of features aligned with the roadmap.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with development, design, and QA teams to guide the product development process from ideation to launch.
- Project Management: Oversee project timelines, set milestones, and manage resources effectively, ensuring successful on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and use these insights to refine the product strategy.
- Customer Insights: Actively gather customer feedback and usage data to optimize the product experience and inform future enhancements.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all product-related queries and communicate product status, updates, and challenges to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years in a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Project Manager role, ideally with experience in Martech products.
- Proven track record in end-to-end product lifecycle management, from inception to release.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of Martech stacks, including CRM, email marketing, data analytics, and automation platforms.
- Project Management Skills: Strong project management abilities, with experience using Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, or Asana).
- Analytical Mindset: Proficiency in data-driven decision-making, with experience in customer analysis, A/B testing, and product optimization.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field. An MBA or similar advanced degree is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with customer data platforms (CDPs) and personalization tools.
- Experience working with SaaS or subscription-based products.
- Knowledge of API integration and working with cross-platform data systems.
