Job Description

Job Description:

As a Sales Manager in the pet food sector, your primary responsibility will be to drive sales and revenue growth through effective management of the sales team and strategic sales initiatives. You will be expected to develop and execute sales strategies that align with company goals and objectives, targeting both new business opportunities and existing customer accounts. Your role will involve analyzing market trends, identifying customer needs, and adapting sales strategies accordingly to maximize market penetration and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategic sales plans that expand customer base and ensure strong market presence.

2. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve sales targets and objectives.

3. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.

4. Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth.

5. Budget Management: Manage sales budgets and forecasts effectively, ensuring financial targets are met.

6. Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pet food products (food for livestock, poultry, aquatic products,...), features, and benefits to effectively communicate with customers and prospects 


Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Sales Manager or similar role in the pet food industry or related field.

- Strong leadership and managerial skills with a track record of building and developing high-performing sales teams.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret sales performance and market trend information.

- Dedication to providing excellent customer service and satisfaction.

- Ability to think strategically and execute sales strategies effectively.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

- Willingness to travel as required.

- Familiarity with CRM software and sales management tools.

- Understanding of pet food industry regulations and standards (food for livestock, poultry, aquatic products,...).
