Head of DeFi Risk Strategy – DeFi Strategies

• Product Management (DeFi): Define and monitor success metrics (e.g., net APY, Sharpe ratio, maximum drawdown, impermanent loss), design experiments to improve outcomes, run safe releases with canary deployments and rollback mechanisms, and lead data-driven iterations and post-mortems. Collaborate with AI engineers to integrate strategy logic into production-grade AI agents.
• Liquidity & Risk Management: Establish vault-level risk policies (IL budgets, LTV bands, liquidation buffers, drawdown limits). Develop quantitative models for LP provisioning, lending, and looping strategies. Build pool selection algorithms and comprehensive risk frameworks (IL mitigation, LTV/liquidation risk, spread risk). Maintain backtesting environments, configure alerts and circuit breakers, and conduct stress tests/Monte Carlo analyses with regular reporting.
• Ecosystem Engagement: Coordinate with vault providers, integrators, and risk curators to secure listings and whitelists. Align guardrails, monitoring standards, and incident response protocols with ecosystem partners.

Key Requirements

• Strong background in quantitative finance, financial engineering, or related fields.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or Julia for algorithm development.
• Deep understanding of DeFi protocols (AMMs, LPs, lending markets, yield farming, Pendle/PT-YT, etc.).
• Experience with on-chain data analytics (The Graph, Dune, Flipside, or similar).
• Familiarity with risk modeling techniques (VaR, Monte Carlo simulations, optimization methods).
• Excellent communication skills in English and ability to collaborate in a global, distributed team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience applying AI/ML in financial domains (e.g., reinforcement learning, time series forecasting).
• Hands-on experience managing DeFi strategies (LP positions, yield optimization).
• Knowledge of CeFi trading and market-making practices.
• Strong understanding of product development processes with the ability to translate concepts into technical specifications.
• Technical expertise across backend and frontend stacks in modern Web3 ecosystems.
• Experience in scaling products and designing architectures that support both growth and innovation in fast-moving sectors.
