The General Manager will lead the overall operations, strategy, and growth of our AI education company in Hong Kong. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong background in education technology, market expansion, team building, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will leverage their experience in strategic planning, product innovation, and sales leadership to drive the company's mission of blending AI with education, ensuring sustainable growth in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Execution:

Develop and implement long-term business strategies, annual operating plans, and growth targets. Oversee the alignment of AI technologies with educational needs, ensuring innovative solutions that address market trends in tech-education integration.

Market Expansion and Business Development:

Lead market entry strategies in China, including brand building, customer acquisition, and partnership development. Utilize digital marketing, content creation, and sales channels to increase user adoption, market share, and revenue.

Team Building and Management: 

Build and mentor a high-performing team of tech, education, and business professionals. Foster a collaborative culture focused on innovation, lifelong learning, and excellence, while managing recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.

Operational and Resource Management:

Optimize internal processes, resource allocation, and cross-departmental collaboration to enhance efficiency. Oversee budgeting, cost control, and financial health to support scalable operations.

Stakeholder Relations and Compliance:

Cultivate relationships with government bodies, investors, educational institutions, and industry partners in Hong Kong. Identify and mitigate risks, including regulatory compliance in AI ethics, education policies, and data security.

Qualifications and Experience

- At least 10-15 years in leadership roles, with proven expertise in education technology, consulting, or cultural/sales-driven industries. 

- Recent experience as a General Manager or equivalent in an education tech firm, including strategic oversight, product innovation, and team leadership. 

- Prior roles in marketing/sales management, demonstrating success in brand development, client relations, and revenue growth. 

- Familiarity with tech-education trends, such as AI integration in learning platforms. Experience in China market expansion is compulsory.

- Strong strategic thinking and execution abilities. 

- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills for team motivation and stakeholder engagement. 

- Proficiency in market analysis, digital marketing, and financial management. 

- Ability to navigate multicultural environments, with experience in China/Hong Kong markets preferred.
