About the role

As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will drive the technological vision and strategy for our payment gateway or cryptocurrency solutions. You will lead our tech teams in developing secure, scalable, and innovative payment technologies that meet regulatory standards and exceed market expectations.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and Execute Technology Strategy:

• Strategic Vision: Formulate and communicate a comprehensive technology strategy that supports business goals and addresses market demands in payment processing or cryptocurrency.
• Roadmap Development: Create and manage a technology roadmap, focusing on milestones, architecture, and innovation for payment gateway or crypto solutions.
• Innovation Leadership: Identify and integrate emerging technologies to enhance platform performance, security, and user experience.

2. Lead and Manage the Engineering Team:

• Team Building: Recruit, lead, and mentor a skilled engineering team, including software developers, security experts, and system architects.
• Performance Management: Set performance goals, conduct evaluations, and provide guidance to optimize team output and professional growth.
• Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively, balancing project needs with operational demands.

3.Oversee Technology Development:

• Technical Architecture: Design and implement the architecture for secure, scalable, and high-performance payment or cryptocurrency systems.
• Development Process: Establish development processes, including agile practices and CI/CD pipelines, to ensure efficient and reliable technology delivery.
• Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous testing and validation protocols to ensure high standards of performance and security.

4. Ensure Security and Compliance:

• Data Security: Develop and enforce robust security measures to protect transaction data, user information, and system integrity.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, such as PCI-DSS for payment gateways or AML/KYC for cryptocurrency.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities, and implement strategies to mitigate them effectively.

5. Drive User-Centric Innovation:

• User Experience: Collaborate with product managers and designers to create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces and seamless payment or crypto transaction experiences.
• Feature Development: Prioritize and oversee the development of new features and improvements based on market trends and user feedback.
• Analytics and Optimization: Utilize analytics to monitor platform performance, transaction metrics, and user behavior, and drive data-driven improvements.

6. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:

• Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with senior management, product teams, and marketing to align technology initiatives with strategic business objectives.
• Partnership Management: Develop and manage relationships with technology partners, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies.
• Customer Interaction: Engage with customers to gather feedback, understand their needs, and ensure the platform delivers value and meets expectations.

7. Manage Technology Budget:

• Budget Planning: Develop and oversee the technology budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources for development, security, and innovation.
• Cost Control: Monitor and control expenditures, seeking opportunities for cost-efficiency while maintaining high standards.

8. Champion Best Practices and Continuous Improvement:

• Best Practices: Promote and implement industry best practices in technology development, security, and operational efficiency.
• Continuous Learning: Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the tech team, encouraging the adoption of new tools and methodologies.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a CTO or similar senior leadership role in payment processing, cryptocurrency, or financial technology.
• Deep understanding of payment systems, cryptocurrency technologies, blockchain, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with modern development practices, including agile methodologies, cloud infrastructure, and security protocols.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
