Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Chemical Sales Manager to lead and grow our sales operations in Vietnam while reporting directly to the oversea office. This role requires a self-motivated and independent professional with strong leadership skills to guide the Vietnam team, ensure profitability, and develop strategic supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will excel in sourcing, negotiating, and optimizing supply chain strategies to maximize profit margins.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Business Development
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth and meet or exceed sales targets.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base within Vietnam’s chemical industry.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to refine sales strategies.
- Work closely with clients to provide technical and commercial solutions tailored to their needs.
2. Team Leadership & Operations
- Lead, mentor, and guide the Vietnam sales team to achieve business objectives.
- Set clear performance expectations, provide training, and develop the team’s capabilities.
- Ensure smooth coordination between the Vietnam office and the Malaysia headquarters.
- Monitor operational efficiency and optimize internal processes to improve productivity.
3. Profitability & Cost Management
- Develop pricing strategies to maintain competitive margins while ensuring profitability.
- Optimize sales channels and supply chain processes to reduce costs and increase revenue.
- Track and analyze sales performance, profitability, and market share to make data-driven decisions.
4. Supplier Relationship & Sourcing
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply.
- Identify new sourcing opportunities and negotiate contracts to maximize profit margins.
- Evaluate supplier performance and manage risks related to product quality, delivery, and cost.
5. Reporting & Compliance
- Provide regular sales reports, market insights, and financial analysis to the Malaysia office.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and business ethics.
- Collaborate with finance, logistics, and supply chain teams for smooth business operations.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5-8 years of experience in chemical sales, business development, or sourcing.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent negotiation and supplier management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and make strategic business decisions.
- Strong market analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is a must and Vietnamese (preferred).
- Familiarity with the chemical industry, supply chain management, and sourcing strategies.
