• Collaborate with the Project Manager (PM) and development team members to analyze product specifications, specification changes, and newly added features.
• Participate in software development projects as a Software Engineer, involved in all phases including Outline Design, Detailed Design, Development/Implementation, Code Review, Unit Testing, and Release. Will receive training to become a Principal Software Engineer/Technical Leader in the future.
• Design databases, develop features, and provide support to team members.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the PM.

Requirements

Basic Requirements:

• At least 4 years of experience working with PHP in web application development project (Development, Refactoring, Unit Testing)
• Experience with one or more PHP frameworks such as: Laravel, CodeIgniter, Yii 2, CakePHP, Zend
• Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SCSS, jQuery, JSON, AJAX
• Proficient in PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Proficient with Git (UI/Command)
• Familiar with PHPStorm IDE

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as: Vue.js, React.js, AngularJS
• Experience in handling large datasets in the database (Insert/Update/Delete)
• Knowledge or experience with PHPUnit testing
• Experience in refactoring code and code review
• Knowledge and experience with Clean Code principles
• Good reading comprehension of English technical documents
• Ability to understand and analyze business requirements from clients
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to create and present clear technical documentation and share knowledge with colleagues
• Good communication skills
• Understanding of the work process and culture of Japanese companies is a plus.
