- Leading the execution of physical design projects, ensuring technical excellence and timely completion.
- Providing hands-on technical guidance and solutions to overcome challenges and ensure project success.
- Mentoring and developing team members to enhance their technical capabilities and productivity.
- Ensuring strict process compliance within the assigned module and actively participating in technical discussions and reviews.
- Preparing and submitting comprehensive status reports to mitigate project risks and address escalations effectively.
Required Skills and Experiences:
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in executing physical design projects.
- Demonstrated ability to lead small to medium-sized teams effectively, with a focus on technical excellence.
- Proficiency in the entire Physical Design flow from RTL to GDSII.
- Strong understanding and expertise in areas such as Floor planning, Power Planning, Placement, and optimization, CTS, Routing, Design Convergence, and Sign-off, with in-depth expertise in at least one domain.
- Working knowledge of OCV, MM/MC optimization, and multi-power designs.
- Experience with static timing analysis fixes, including automated ECO generation.
- Strong skills in CTS and skew fixing.
- Experience with library preparation using tools like Synopsys, Cadence, etc.
- Familiarity with physical verification tasks at lower nodes, including DRC, LVS, ERC, PERC, Antenna, ESD, LUP analysis, and fixing at the block level/chip level.
- Ability to take complete ownership of projects from netlist/RTL to GDS for blocks at the Block level OR full chip level.
- Exposure to IP Hardening for blocks such as SERDES, USB PHY, MIPI, SATA is advantageous.
- Working knowledge of scripting languages like Perl, TCL is a plus.
- Ability to define project milestones, identify risks, and develop effective mitigation plans.
