General Accountant

Sunrise Events Vietnam (SEV) is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive General Accountant to join our dynamic finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

AR tasks: 

• Responsible for timely issuance of VAT invoices customer invoices as needed, ensuring that receivables are collected promptly 
• Handling invoice issues such as cancelling, adjusting, re-issue invoice…
• Collaborate with other teams to get information on revenue/receivables
• Maintains general ledger accounts by reconciling accounts receivable detail and control accounts
• Support on collect receivables from customers
• Prepare sale reports as required
• Other related tasks as assigned.

AP tasks:

• Make sure the company's payment procedure is executed properly and appropriately
• Verify supporting documents against company’s policy of valid accounting supporting documents, make sure all documents are filed (payments, vouchers; contracts, PO...)
• Prepare payment by bank or cash
• Collect VAT invoices and support for taxation accountant if any
• Reconcile between petty cash/ bank statement with G/L balance at month end.
• Control accounts payable and payment schedules with suppliers
• Tracking on advance and reimbursement employee
• Responsible for store accounting documents such as purchase order (PO), contract, payment request, bank slip… (Hard & soft copies)
• Follow up loan documents with the banks
• Managing/ keep the company's petty cash

Bookkeeping & reporting:

• Do data entry into accounting software (Fast)
• Manage tools and company assets
• Assist CA in reviewing and prepare monthly/ yearly financial statements, tax declaration
• Assist CA & FC for budget creation and preparing budget to actual reports
• Assist in the compilation of various reports related to tax and business compliance
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications
• Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations
• Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed

Skills and qualifications:

• University Degree in Accounting major.
• Minimum 2-4 years relevant working experience in the same position is preferred.
• Good English communication skill
• Good sense in controlling and business acumen. Strong experience and knowledge in tax & other
• Local regulations and working independently.
• Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and accounting systems/software.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, resourceful with positivity.
