Fruit Production Manager Assistant (Agronomist)

Location: Based in Long An – Ben Luc but frequent travel to other provinces of Mekong Delta

Working time: Monday to Friday on a regular basis. Work on Saturday when necessary for the farm operations.

1. Key Organizational Relationships

Reports to: Fruit Production Manager

Supervises: R&D farms staff

2. Accountabilities

2.1. Research and development.

• Setup and develop new farms and demo nurseries successfully.
• Plan and carry out agricultural research experiments at demo farms according to company and customer standards
• Participate in collecting experimental data, including data on crop growth, yield, product quality, and environmental factors,...
• Analyze experimental data and present results to management
• Update knowledge about new farming techniques and development trends in the agricultural sector.
• Share research results with farmers and relevant departments.
• Support interpretation and information exchange when the fruit production manager works with farmers and suppliers.

2.2. Train farmers and staff on new crop cultivation techniques

• Organize and implement training for farmers and company agronomists on best farming practices to increase productivity according to new farming methods.

3. Requirements

Knowledge/ Experience:

• Graduated with a major in Agriculture, related to Crops science, Soil science or Crop protection.
• Fluent in English
• At least 05 years of experience in the agriculture sector. Knowledge of citrus production is an advantage.
• Have research experience in the field of agriculture, especially on new farming techniques on citrus or other related crops.
• Understanding of crop protection, fertilization, and how to use pesticides safely.

• Able to collect experimental data accurately and effectively.
• Have good analytical and presentation skills.
• Able to read and understand specialized English documents.
• Able to communicate and present well in Vietnamese and English
• Able to train and inspire farmers and staff
