Additional Tasks & Responsibilities

• Managing projects. This includes: technical meetings, communication with customers, project

evaluation, preparation of related documents (test plans, test summaries, test reports,

inspection reports, etc.), and ensuring orders from clients are fulfilled as agreed, accurately, and

within scheduled time.

• Conducting testing of electrical products; performing accurate measurements while following

strictly the applicable procedures.

• Informing test results and providing necessary technical information to supervisor and/or project

team members.

• Performing inspection/ sample drawing/ loading supervision services at customer site if

required.

• Preparing other types of technical documents such as quality management (QM) documents,

checklists, etc.

• Ensuring proper documentation of laboratory activities according to ISO/IEC 17025 and/or ISO

9001, and supporting QM team members in setting up and maintaining the quality systems.

• Arranging/supporting calibration of test equipment if required and ensuring the availability of

required equipment and tools for testing.

• Supporting warehouse management and laboratory maintenance/housekeeping.

Further Single Assignments

Beside the above listed additional tasks and the tasks and responsibility listed in the global role

description special assignments have to be carried out based on the instructions of the direct

superior. Those special assignments are usually connected to above listed activities or those

assignments are a result of company policy.

Authority

The incumbent is authorized to take any reasonable action necessary to carry out the assigned

responsibilities, provided that such action is consistent with sound company and cost-effective

practices and is consistent with position guidelines as outlined above.

Education 

University degree in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, telecommunications, or similar. 

Experience & further Qualifications 

• At least 5 years of experience in using scientific measurement equipment

• Good knowledge of standards, legal and customer requirements

• Self-starter attitude and ability to work accurately

• Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented environment

• Good communication and presentation skills

• Fair command of both spoken and written English (Japanese is a plus)

• Excellent knowledge of PC (MS Office, etc.)

• Understanding and knowledge of EMC, Safety and/or EE standards (IEC, CISPR, FCC).

iNARTE EMC Certified Engineer is plus.
