ASIC Synthesis/STA Lead

• Leads the synthesis, STA and timing closure of a state-of-the-art SOC by working closely with front end design team, analog design team and physical design teams.
• Works with execution driven teams for tape-outs by supporting new flows and new methodologies needed to address better QoR like power, performance and area goals.
• Must have in-depth understanding of ASIC design flow and the challenges posed by advanced deep sub-micron technologies.

Must have:

• Proficiency in taking any RTL, understanding requirements and developing design constraints, timing constraints, synthesis constraints.
• Proficiency in DC, PT, DCT, PT-PX, PTSI, etc tools
• Proficiency in LEC, able to complete formal verification using tools like Conformal LEC, Synopsys Formality, etc
• Proficiency in pre-layout and post-layout STA.
• Will write scripts to run MCMM synthesis and take the design through full backend implementation by working with the physical design team.
• Expertise in timing closure working with physical design teams
• Experience in digital design and RTL development
• Deep understanding of process corners, impact on setup and hold times, progress in libraries, timing closure strategies for any given process technology
• Experience in and understanding of signal integrity checks
• Expertise in creating ECO files to implement functional and timing ECOs
• Achieves timing closure in working with physical design team
• Proficiency in multiple scripting languages like C, Perl, Python, Shell, Tcl
• Familiar with latest EDA tools for synthesis, formal verification, timing analysis, timing closure with signal integrity

Good to have one or more of following areas:

• Expertise in power compilation
• Expertise in driving ECOs
• Expertise in scan insertion and working with physical design team to implement scan stitching, compression and decompression as per the DFT strategy

Experience range – 8- 15 years
