• Define and own the enterprise modernization roadmap, transforming legacy insurance systems into modular, service-oriented, and cloud-ready architectures.
• Provide architectural leadership and direction to multiple delivery teams throughout modernization programs.
• Collaborate closely with business leaders, solution architects, and engineering teams to align solutions with enterprise architecture principles and long-term strategic goals.
• Establish and enforce architecture governance, ensuring compliance with internal standards, regulatory obligations, and industry best practices.
• Perform architecture assessments, capability mapping, and gap analysis across General and Motor Insurance domains.
• Design future-state architectures supporting core insurance capabilities, including policy administration, underwriting, claims, and customer engagement.
• Assess emerging technologies and evaluate their relevance and impact on the insurance value chain.
• Drive standardization, reuse, and innovation across applications, services, and integration layers.
• Lead architecture review forums and decision-making processes, providing architectural approvals and guidance.
• Create and maintain architecture artifacts such as decision records, reference architectures, design patterns, and modernization guidelines for delivery teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven hands-on experience as an Enterprise Architect within General Insurance and Motor Insurance environments.
• Strong knowledge of insurance core platforms, digital distribution and servicing channels, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Solid experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and modeling tools such as ArchiMate or Sparx EA.
• TOGAF certification or an equivalent enterprise architecture credential.
• AWS Solutions Architect certification or comparable cloud certification.
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver enterprise-scale solutions in complex, multi-system landscapes.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence both business and technology audiences.

Preferred

• Familiarity with insurance standards and regulatory bodies (e.g., BNM, ISM).
• Experience managing phased or coexistence modernization approaches involving both legacy and modern platforms.
• Knowledge of modern architecture styles, including microservices, API-led integration, cloud-native, and event-driven architectures.
• Previous leadership roles in legacy modernization initiatives within the insurance industry.
