• Collaborate closely with a cross-functional team (Project Leader, Software Developer, UI/UX Designer, etc.) to evaluate and understand client requirements.
• Research and recommend modern technologies and tools suited for Japanese clients, with emphasis on Karaoke-related applications or related domains.
• Monitor testing progress, identify risks related to bug leakage and release timelines; propose mitigation measures and contingency plans.
• Manage the bug lifecycle, verify fixes, and perform regression testing to ensure product stability before release.
• Promote process improvements and share industry best practices to raise testing efficiency and product quality.
• Lead QA activities for Japanese project: optimize communications with Japanese clients, ensure quality documentation, and produce multilingual testing artifacts as needed.

Job requirement

Must have:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• At least 5 years of working experience as a QA/QC Engineer, with a strong track record in ensuring product quality and reliability with 1 year in a QA lead role, managing tasks or mentoring peers.
• Strong expertise in testing methodologies, including: Performance Testing using JMeter, Functional Testing, Regression Testing, API Testing, Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Thoroughly understand and analyze Japanese client requirements to propose comprehensive testing strategies (STLC), including estimation plan, test plans, test cases, test design and test specifications derived from functional and non-functional requirements.
• Deep understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices across multiple development environments
• Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and execute end-to-end test strategies, test cases, and test specifications.
• Adapt one of two below options as follows:
• Proficient in Japanese (JLPT N3 or above).
• Strong experience working with Japanese clients across projects and domains.

Nice to have

• Willingness to learn or knowledge of test automation frameworks and scripting (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit/TestNG, REST-assured) and CI/CD integration.
• Hands-on experience with diverse project domains such as: Karaoke, Social Media, Entertainment or relevant projects.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities in cross-functional environments.
