Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sales Management
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve growth targets for the formulation API market.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities and potential clients in the pharmaceutical industry.
Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to inform sales strategies.
Customer Relationship Management
Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
Conduct regular meetings and presentations to existing and potential clients, effectively communicating product value and benefits.
Manage and resolve customer complaints promptly and effectively to maintain client satisfaction.
Revenue Generation and Forecasting
Drive sales revenue through strategic account management and client acquisition.
Develop accurate sales forecasts and budgets, monitor sales metrics, and prepare reports to track performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, R&D, and product development, to support product launches and align sales objectives.
Team Collaboration and Mentoring
Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align on business objectives, share insights, and develop joint strategies.
Mentor and guide junior sales team members to build a high-performance sales culture.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Business, or a related field; MBA or relevant Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in API formulation sales, preferably within a pharmaceutical or biotech environment.
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a highly competitive market.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong knowledge of API formulation and the pharmaceutical industry.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in CRM software, sales forecasting, and MS Office.
Ability to work independently, think strategically, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
