GetSolar is looking for a Technical Lead. In the role of Technical Lead, you’ll spearhead our software engineering team, driving product development for our suite of tools and applications. As a key member of our leadership team, you’ll collaborate closely with our co-founders in a mission-driven company focused on advancing solar deployment across Southeast Asia.

Our frontend is built on Next.js, powering React-based web applications, while our backend is orchestrated on the AWS cloud platform with serverless architecture. We use a GraphQL API for frontend service, Cognito for authentication, and databases like DynamoDB and ElasticSearch.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Define and execute our technology strategy
• Serve as the primary architect to manage and continuously optimize our tech stack
• Lead product development across key platforms, including our solar assessment tool, customer mobile app, and internal CRM admin
• Mentor and lead a remote software engineering team, instilling best practices such as TDD, PR, clean code, and scrum
• Act as a Scrum Master, fostering an agile development environment and ensuring alignment with the product roadmap
• Collaborate closely with product and business teams to align the roadmap with business goals

Who we’re looking for

• Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience
• Track record in full-stack software development or technical product development within high-growth startups
• Proven technical leadership experience, ideally managing remote engineering teams
• Strong proficiency in frontend technologies, particularly Node.js, Next.js, and React
• Expertise in AWS cloud platform, serverless architecture, and GraphQL
• Familiarity with various databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, DynamoDB)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Fluent in English

Contract type and location

This is a primarily remote position open to candidates within GMT +07 to GMT +09 time zones, with a preference for candidates based in Singapore or Ho Chi Minh City.
