Business Development Lead (HR Consulting)

Responsibilities

1. Business Strategy & Hypothesis Validation

• Develop business strategies by analyzing market trends, competitor landscape, and customer needs, while identifying target segments and validating service hypotheses
• Plan and execute sales activities including lead generation, preparing proposals and sales materials, and leading discussions through to deal closure
• Collect customer insights and continuously refine the product in collaboration with internal teams

2. Partner Collaboration (Management Consulting Firm)

• Align on shared KPIs and oversee daily operations and progress with partners
• Review and validate partner inputs, incorporating insights into overall business strategy
• Act as the main liaison to ensure smooth communication and minimize cross-cultural gaps

3. Organizational Strategy & Development

• Design and enhance internal evaluation systems and KPI frameworks, ensuring effective implementation
• Manage performance cycles and support adoption across management levels
• Maintain internal policies, HR regulations, and ensure compliance with labor requirements
• Translate internal practices into structured case studies and methodologies for service development

Requirements

• Japanese proficiency at JLPT N2 level or higher, with the ability to independently lead meetings
• Proven experience in initiating and building new business from the ground up (hands-on, not instruction-based)
• Ability to manage the full hypothesis cycle, including planning, execution, validation, and iteration
• Solid knowledge and practical experience in HR-related areas
• Experience in designing, improving, and operating organizational structures from a company perspective

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in building and executing sales strategies
• Basic understanding of HR compliance, including labor law, taxation, and social insurance
• Ability to interpret financial statements such as P&L and balance sheet to manage business performance
