Bridge Software Engineer

Requirements Analysis & Management:

• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand, define, and document business needs and objectives.
• Analyze existing systems and workflows to identify improvement areas and optimization opportunities.
• Convert business-level requirements into detailed functional and non-functional specifications, user stories, and use cases.
• Lead and facilitate requirement-gathering activities such as workshops, interviews, and discussion sessions.

Documentation & Communication:

• Prepare, maintain, and manage project documentation including requirement and functional specification documents.
• Clearly communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders and translate business needs for technical teams.
• Serve as the communication bridge between business and engineering teams to ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Solution Design & Technical Collaboration:

• Apply knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum in daily project activities.
• Contribute to the design of scalable and efficient software solutions, balancing technical constraints and business objectives.
• Utilize cloud platform knowledge to clarify requirements related to cloud infrastructure, services, and system architecture.
• Participate in technical discussions and provide requirement-focused input to solution design decisions.

Testing & Quality Support:

• Coordinate with QA teams to ensure test scenarios accurately reflect defined requirements.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by clarifying requirements and assisting in issue analysis and resolution.

Project Support:

• Assist project management activities such as scope definition, estimation, and risk assessment.
• Proactively identify, communicate, and escalate potential requirement-related risks or project blockers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in software development roles such as Software Engineer or Developer.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a BRSE position or a comparable role (e.g. Business Analyst, System Analyst), with a strong focus on requirement analysis and documentation.
• Hands-on experience of 1 year or more working with AWS, including core services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.

Core Skills & Competencies

• Japanese language proficiency at N2 level or higher is required; English communication skills are an advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with close attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal capabilities.
• Ability to produce clear, well-structured, and concise technical and business documentation.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
• Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence is a plus.
• Good understanding of database fundamentals and SQL.
• Basic knowledge of API integrations and web service concepts.
