As a Technical Manager, you will be responsible for both technical leadership and team management to drive the successful development of high-quality Hyper-Casual, Casual, and Puzzle games. You will collaborate with game designers, artists, and developers to ensure efficient workflows, high-performance game architecture, and timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Leadership:
- Oversee the end-to-end game development process, ensuring smooth execution from prototyping to final release.
- Define and maintain technical architecture, coding standards, and best practices for game development.
- Provide hands-on support for game optimization, ensuring smooth performance on various platforms (mobile, web, and PC).
- Review and optimize game code to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Lead technical problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting across projects.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in game engines (Unity, Unreal Engine) and development tools.
2. Team & Project Management:
- Manage and mentor a team of game developers, engineers, and technical artists, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Define and track project milestones, ensuring that deliverables meet quality, performance, and timeline requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments (Game Design, Art, and Product Management) to align on development goals.
- Implement Agile/Scrum methodologies for efficient workflow and sprint planning.
- Conduct regular code reviews and performance evaluations to enhance team efficiency.
3. Research & Innovation:
- Evaluate and implement new technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance game development processes.
- Drive R&D initiatives to improve game physics, AI behaviors, monetization strategies, and player engagement.
- Ensure games are optimized for user experience, retention, and monetization models (ads, in-app purchases, subscriptions).
REQUIREMENTS
1. Technical Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in game development, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong proficiency in Unity (C#); experience with Unreal Engine is a plus.
- Deep understanding of game architecture, design patterns, and optimization techniques.
- Experience with Hyper-Casual, Casual, and Puzzle game mechanics.
- Strong knowledge of 2D/3D rendering, animation systems, physics engines, and UI frameworks.
- Familiarity with backend services, multiplayer networking, and cloud technologies (AWS, Firebase, PlayFab).
- Experience with game monetization strategies and integration of third-party SDKs (ads, analytics, payments).
- Understanding of AI implementation for NPCs, procedural content generation, and game automation is a plus.
