Product Development Executive (Product Designer)

RESPONSIBILITIES

-   Develop new products, ensuring all samples are developed to targeted deadlines, with the desired aesthetic, and following floralpunk’s quality standards. 

-   Research and design new bag collections, considering shape, fabrics, techniques, and components, incorporating seasonal prints and color palettes.

-   Carry out visual research, sketches and tech packs required for product development in a clear and organized way. 

-   Assist with new products, according to floralpunk’s product development plan and creative direction. 

-   Research to identify new trends and seek design inspiration. 

-   Support for conceptualizing, developing, and creating designs of handbag and small accessories collections. 

-   Monitoring supplier samples regarding design, quotation, timeline, shipping, and updating status into the file. 

-   Recommend manufacturing techniques, construction, and materials to reduce price and improve manufacturability while maintaining design and quality for new product samples. 

-   Accountable for providing clarity on current sampling, shipment status, sample material stock, and budget status of new product development. 

-   Communicate timeline conflicts, quality risks, changes, and action items daily to the line manager.

REQUIREMENTS

-  Bachelor’s degree. 

-  Proficient in ai / pts / any designing tool. 

-  Understanding of floralpunk aesthetic and industry quality standards, as well as personal awareness and understanding of local trends and global fashion. 

-  Basic technical knowledge (bag & shoe design).

-  Knowledge and understanding of bag and shoe construction. 

-  Pro-active and excellent organizational skills. 

-  Solution-oriented – problem solver, flexible and adaptable, resilient. 

-  Good communication
