We’re looking for an Accountant to join our growing finance team and support full-cycle accounting and reporting. You are based in Ho Chi Minh City, but working as a part of our global team. You will also have the opportunity to improve and develop our month-end processes and our use of NetSuite, and deliver valuable insights through our month-end reporting package. 

What You'll Do

• Assist with month-end closings including account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals and preparation of key continuity schedules for the head office in Canada and local entity.
• High volume of bank and merchant reconciliations.
• Enter vendor payments in the online banking platform for approval.
• Post bank transactions and intercompany journal entries.
• Maintain the prepaid schedule and book monthly movement from prepaids to expense.
• Maintain the capital assets subledger and post amortization.
• Assist with the preparation of detailed financial analysis of financial statement accounts (including detailed variance analysis).
• Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting package for presentation to the senior leadership team.
• Ensure accounting policies and procedures adhere to US GAAP.
• Prepare working papers for audits, liaising with external auditors.
• Review and maintain intercompany transactions and reconcile intercompany balances.
• Provide support for all projects related to accounting and finance functions and objectives.
• Ad hoc duties and analysis as required.

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Either working towards or has obtained a professional accounting designation.
• Experience with Netsuite or similar ERP systems is an asset.
• Experience in account reconciliations, preferably in settings with multiple entities across different currencies.
• Process-oriented.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills‬.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines.
• Analytical skills with an attention to detail to research and resolve issues.
• Ability to continually challenge the status quo with respect to process improvements and operating results.
