Lead Solutions Architect

The Data & Technology Team within the Strategy & Innovation Office will leverage technology and data to help our business create and innovate. We are looking for a technology leader who understands technology applications, and uses that knowledge to revolutionize how (the way/channel) we operate internally and externally. You will drive the technology enablement vision, strategy, and delivery of infrastructure and applications that touch our suppliers, partners, employees, and consumers. This role will report to the Head of Strategy & Innovation Office.

1. 6 Month Expectations

• Establish and maintain the enterprise vision, strategy, and program to build the tech architecture across our value chain, from agricultural, processing, manufacturing to distribution to end consumers

• Identify and prioritize a roadmap of technical solutions and infrastructure to meet the needs of the business and our portfolio companies

• Build and lead a team of front-end and back-end software developers to develop and deploy solutions across our businesses

• Developing and iterating on data- and business-driven MVPs

• Partner with Product Management team to identify opportunities for build and improve, and propose solutions to be implemented

• Lead all discussions and negotiations with partners/solutions providers to decide build vs. buy appropriate solutions

2. 12+ Month Expectations

• Work with partners/solutions providers to implement high quality software products/applications/solutions for the business that incorporate sales, marketing, fulfillment, and product research data

• Drive implementation forward while enabling the business scaling vectors

• Manage the stability, scale, and applications of technology across the business

• Ensure all activities are in compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures

3. Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• 7+ years of experience in a technology company

• 4+ years of experience in a leading technology role (SDM/TPM/Software Engineering)

• Experience in working with vendor software and decision points on build vs buy, balancing risk and time to market

• Experience with big data, cloud computing, or distributed and service-oriented systems for commercial online services that require high availability and performance

• Experience in building and scaling infrastructure and products of large scale systems, with participation in all software development life cycles: architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance

• Have driven multiple features for a scaled product using modern full-stack web technologies

4. Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
