Embedded Software Test Engineer

As an Embedded Software Test Engineer for Automotive Electronics project, your mission could be simplified in some words:

• Analyze Software Requirements (Functional and Non-functional) to identify test cases
• Development of test plan, test case, test scripts, test strategy for levels under Test
• Develop Test script and execute test script for levels under Test
• Report Quality of Production Code to Customer
• Defect logging and defect retest.

Desirable Skills

• Awareness of Automation Test (Test harness, test framework, Tools, scripting languages)
• Experience with different test levels such as: Module, Integration, Function, System Testing and Testing Methodology
• Hands-on experience in debugging and validations tools
• Experience in debugging software issues
• Proficiency in English communication (writing and speaking)

Preferable Skills

• C/C++ programming language
• Good knowledge in Embedded System
• Awareness in debugging hardware issues
• Basic knowledge in Micro-controllers (8/16/32-bit)
• Knowledge of automotive protocol network LIN/ CAN/ Ethernet
• Knowledge with Vector Test Suite (CaNoe, VTest Studios, Can Analyzer)
• ISTQB certificate or completed in-house training course
• Practical knowledge of IBM Tool Chains (CC, CQ, DOORs) is preferred.
