Data Engineer

• You will be responsible for developing and monitoring the data pipelines feeding in and from our data lake.
• Grow and expand our data sources to enrich our data even further.
• Identify reporting needs and requirements within the organization to help decision-makers.

Must have:

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
• .Experience within a digital business.
• Python development experience for data products, you love clean code and know how to structure your python packages.
• You have developed solutions with (Py)Spark, and have used Spark Streaming.
• Experience with real-time event processing (using Azure EventHub or similar tools).
• Implemented a data platform on a cloud provider, preferably experience with developing on Azure.
• Experience with self-service BI tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Azkaban, Azure Data Factory.
• You have worked in lean startup and/or agile environments.

Nice to have:

• Understanding of lambda architecture.
• Experience with Graph Databases (Neo4j).
• Experience with setting up CI/CD pipelines for data products.
• Experience in developing data models (like prediction models, NLP, etc.).
• You are positive, solution-oriented, and proactive, and like to be part of a team.
• Self-starter who can quickly come up-to-speed on their own in a fast-moving, complex, IT environment.
• You are creative and capable of making complex things simple.
• Ability to work well and succeed in a team environment and individually.
• You communicate timely, clear, and to the point.
• You have a strong personality and can express your own opinion on the basis of clear arguments and facts.
• You take a healthy dose of energy and humor along with your work.
• Gets enthusiastic about analytical problems and dares to explore new ones.
