3D LOOKDEV - LIGHTING ARTIST

• Texturing & set up lighting for scenes in different projects in various styles (feature film, commercial, animation…) when required.

• Render pass for compositing (or compositing photos)

• Scene optimization for faster and more efficient rendering

• Be able to composite photos & use photoshop

Reporting: Report your tasks status to your VFX Art Director, Lookdev-Lighting Lead and Producers.

Qualifications:

Knowledge:

• Proficient and familiar with software: Maya, 3Dmax, Blender, Zbrush, Photoshop and render engine in Maya, 3Dmax or Blender (Vray, Arnold, Redshift …).

• Basic to Advanced knowledge in either Mari or Substance. Know how to use some other software or plugins such as: Phoenix FD, marvelous design and some add-ons on Blender

• Good sense of color, lighting and rendering.

• Good understanding in texturing and Shading, control & fix when required

• Over 1 year experience in look development and lighting.

• Knowledge in contemporary media (web, games, comics, film, animation, etc.)

Skills:

• Ability to accurately estimate time to complete tasks and manage priorities to meet deadlines

• Having good sense of initiatives, be original and inventive

• Effective organizational skills

• Great interpersonal skills

• Work well as part of a team and be able to take direction from Art Lead, 3D specialist and Producers

• Work well under pressure

• Great artistic eyes, pay attention to detail

• Communication competencies. Getting along with others, negotiation, conflict resolution and decision-making.

Nice-To-Have:

• Additional skills in either modeling or previs/layout

• Working experience with Houdini (Arnold / Redshift / Mantra)

• Unreal knowledge is a big plus

• Experience in compositing is an advantage.
