Job Description
- Implement the objectives of the information technology needs of the company to ensure the IT solutions are meet to the needs of the company's growth and objectives
- Build and manage a support team for daily IT operations activities to ensure integrity and availability of various hardware systems.
- Originate IT policies, guidelines and system operation procedures adhering to audit regulations and enterprise-wide security.
- Handle annual budget and ensure cost-effectiveness for the IT department
- Provide support to business applications and related interfaces/infrastructure.
- Manage the development, procurement, deployment, and maintenance/support of business applications. ERP selection + installation critical
- Manage all system enhancements, and changes, adhering to application methodology.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and coordinate with the internal programming team, vendors to ensure high coding quality, conduct program tests to ensure fulfillment of system requirements.
- Lead a future team of developers and analysts to develop and support solutions/application systems.
- Collaborate with end-users through internal IT staff to ensure developed software and systems can fulfill user requirements.
- Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department staffs
- Provide advisory to Director from application perspectives e.g., on buy or build.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5- 7 years of experience working in IT operations in heading application/software development & support, start-up experience preferred
- Knowledge on technical management, application infrastructure requirements, and various hardware/software systems.
- Proven experience in system analysis, design, and architectural planning in large-scale projects.
- Proficient in application development using a pool of languages and frameworks.
- Understand the latest trends of Software Development and/or Mobile technology trends.
- Very strong business and commercially oriented mindset – IT is part of the business.
- A natural thinker, a product designer with strong communication to influence the development team.
- Excellent incident management and leadership skills under critical situations.
- Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
- Flexible on some business trips.
