As a DevOps Software Engineer, you will be involved from conception to completion with projects that are technologically sound and aesthetically impressive.

As a DevOps Software Engineer, you should be comfortable with backend technologies, frontend technologies, open-source technologies, and cloud services. You should also be a team player.

An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a fast paced, collaborative environment. Someone that values the “team” and leverages the opinions and expertise of their teammates to deliver quality.

Responsibilities

Analyze current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them.

Establish milestones for necessary contributions from departments and develop processes to facilitate their collaboration.

Work with Software Engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended

Mentor and train other engineers throughout the company and seek to continually improve processes companywide.

Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives.

Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers

Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.

• Experience developing engineering applications for a medium/large corporation.
• Understanding of best practices regarding system security measures.
• Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services.
• Experience working together with teams from several departments to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project plan.
• Professional work experience in team building and project organization.
• Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles.
• Knowledge of programming languages.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
