Job Description
- Developing, maintaining and optimizing data pipeline architecture, data flow and collection for cross-functional teams
- Building the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources
- Transforming data into a format that can be easily analyzed
- Identifying, well-designing, and implementing internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability
- Working closely with Product Owner, Data analyst to enhance software solutions, ensure adherence to acceptance criteria, recommend system modifications and develop policies for data governance
- Developing data tools for analytics and data analyst team members to provide actionable insights
- Researching new technology to adapt the system & requirements
- Optimizing applications for scalability
- Collaborating with other members (server side or third-party side) to design, implement the feature requirements
- Collaborating with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure
- At least 3 years of experience in a Data Engineer role
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- Experience with GCP/AWS/Azure Cloud services
- Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Kafka, Confluent, ...
- Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL
- Experience with data pipeline, workflow management and modeling tools such as Airflow, DBT, …
- Experience with message queuing, stream-processing systems and highly scalable big data
- Experience with AWS cloud services: EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift
- Experience with concepts data modeling such as Google BigQuery, Snowflake
- Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages such as Python, Java or .NET
- Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
- Having Data Engineer certification from major cloud providers is a plus
- Having experience with machine learning framework is a plus
