Job Description

This position reports to the Manager, Business Development, Logistics Group. He/She shall report to the Manager, Information System functionally. This position is responsible for supporting the Group P-LMS proper functioning, making sure that downtime is controlled and effective coordinating with 3rd Party Vendor. This includes coordinating with both internal users of the P-LMS and external vendor, and global account EDI initiatives & implementation. This position support the Group IS Manager and take responsibility in ensuring that Data Integrity is audited, Data given information is correct and help management for decision making. This position shall participate unconditionally and ensuring that the P-LMS management system is regularly maintained, improved and providing seamless job file creations, generating users required reports and support for the business units.  


Digitalization & Optimization:

• Support the Deployment of strategic initiatives in the area of process optimization and digitization in operating units

• Support any Interface with the Group digitalization & optimization objectives to ensure business requirements are translated into technology requirements and that the technology supports the process

• Support to Develop local test plans and training documentation to support technology implementation

• Participate in test efforts and interface with user groups to ensure uptake of technology

• Support the roll out of new processes and procedures related to Digitalization & Optimization

• Post project evaluation and documentation of lessons learned

Support & Training:

• Execute continuous system improvement program for air & ocean operations

• Documentation of IS department training materials

• Deploy and monitor usage of tools to report, log and action operational service issues

• Identify areas where additional training and/or support is required

• Escalations point for business support and issue resolution

Data Management

• All data to be input must comply with the following requirements; Accuracy, Timeliness, completeness and security.

• Data captured can be used to make more-informed business decisions, improve marketing campaigns, optimize business operations and reduce costs, all with the goal of increasing revenue and profits. 

• Data management is able to support regulatory compliance requirements, including data privacy and protection laws 

• Support on the development of a data architecture that provide blueprint for the databases and other data platforms that will be deployed, including specific technologies to fit individual applications (management system).

• Support the management of Databases as the common platform used to hold organized corporate data so it can be accessed, updated and managed. Such Data are used in both transaction processing systems that create operational data, such as customer and supplier records, shipment characteristics and job file profitability information.


Requirements

The role requires some experience in logistics and freight forwarding individual who has a sound track records in operations and/or studies in the area of global freight forwarding and logistics industries with 2-3 years of working experience in the freight forwarding business and track record in managing projects successfully.

  • Experienced in analysing and documenting diverse business processes and workflows
  • Good communication and leadership skills as the role requires frequent communication to various directions and all management levels
  • Quality and efficiency driven working style
  • Ability to work independently, with least supervision as well as within the global teams
  • Proactive, positive, enthusiastic and self-driven
  • Deep understanding of global freight forwarding
  • Fluent in Business English (spoken and written)
  • Strong leadership skills: sets clear goals and achieves results, develops solid relationships within the team, persuades and influences others, motivates people to perform, delegates and empowers others
  • Ability to mentor and coach in a team environment; ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely
  • Self-Driven, Self-Motivated and Ability to work in grey working environment
